It’s hard to believe that it started with a shed in the backyard of a residential building – and with the help of the Prince’s Trust – but this is exactly how our owner Mike Diggins set out to create his car repair workshop, originally named Brent Autos, back in 1989!
Several smaller building conversions and improvements, one major property extension to industrial unit, a renaming (from Brent Autos to Classic Brent Autos) and a rebranding makeover – and not to forget hundreds, more like thousands, of modern day and classic car owner clients – later, Classic Brent Autos is still thriving and has well and truly gone from ordinary to unique and special – having made itself a name and built a reputation for –
- Real quality service and comprehensive technical and mechanical expertise, having often fixed highly challenging and complicated repairs where other garages have given up or lost interest;
- A trustworthy car servicing and repair business with a transparent and honest pricing policy and clear terms and conditions upfront;
- No-nonsense, friendly and personable service, all basic principles of working together, and which had their part in our renaming to Classic Brent Autos.
– and not just in and around Willesden and Harlesden, but all surrounding areas, particularly Kensal Rise, Kensal Green, Brondesbury, Kilburn, Cricklewood, Camden, Hampstead, and all over NW London.
Celebrating with KATY
To say we are proud is an understatement and so to mark this wonderful occasion and to celebrate our achievements, we were thrilled to take our KATY for her first spin!!!
KATY is name given to the classic VolvoP1800, which our owner, the one and only Mike Diggins has been FULLY restoring, as a side project, in his spare time over the last five years!
A real labour of love, a real piece of art, a real testimony to his genius and an absolute demonstration of what determination, patience, trust and the belief in something can do!
Being in business for 30 years, the transformation of our workshop and the truly and utterly rewarding project of completing this last full classic car restoration, have taught us many, many often life-changing lessons – both for business and life – which we are more and more passionate about sharing via social media. We’d be delighted to have you join our journey on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and do watch the space on our MECHANICLONDON website.
Happy 30-year anniversary to us :) and massive thank you to all our customers, suppliers, partners and neighbours!
